We mlLsend the LIBERAL, post. paid to any ad: dress in Canada or tha United States for the remainder of the year for the nominical sum sum of 25 cents. Three cent stamps can be semi by mail. Address, THE LIBERAL; nich- mond Hill. A‘ Rare Chance. Correctibn. We are very glad to correct a statement made through our columns two Weeks ago,‘ concerning that sad affair, the Puterbsugh suicide. It was stated by us on what we thought'good authority that the probable cause of the act was unsatisfactory writings drawn by his father on Saturday previous We are now in a position to say that such is not the case. as the writings alluded to were drawn up on Friday, and as John was an only child they were exclusively in his favor, he having been given a deed of most of the property, except a portion réserved by the'father for his own benefit, and was given full control of everything with which he expressed himself highly satisfied. They were in very comfortable circumstances, and the utmost harmony prevailed in the family. There can therefore be no possible cause an signed other than temporarv insanity. He had been doctoring for some time,‘ and his health was not the best, which fact gives more plausibility to the solution. From a personal acquaintance we entertained a high degree of respect for the family, and desire hereby to express our sympathy in their hour of aflliction. Resigned.
