Sundav.” Ministers of all denominations in Ontario have been invited to preach to their congregations on that day on some phrase of the Temperance work. The proposal of setting apart a Sunday for special appeal, is a good one. The mag- nitude of the evil warrants the churches nitnking more active measures for its entire suppression. The work cannot be carried on without funds, aud'an appeal has been made to the ministers and peo- ple for the collections on that Sunday, to help in tbit direction). We trust that this request will meet with a. liberal re- sponse, as the cause of Temperance has suffered very much in the past for want of money to carry on its operations. _...._....___._ West York Reform Association .
