Arran From our own Correspondent. \Vhilsi time has of late been pursuing the even tenor of its way, the :tl'l‘airs of our hamlet have been movingr along very quietly and pleasantly. The monotony is relieved by the prac- tice of our Lacrosse Club and the aroused hope of future lanrels. as we hear of ar- l'nngements being made by the “ Royal Oaks †with neighboring teams for a trial of skill upon the lield. The board of directors of the Aurora Cemetery have decided to expend np~ wards of $400 in improving and beauti- fying the appearance of the cemetery. At present they haven. large number of teams emyloycd in drawing gravel for i the purpose of grading the walks and driving roads. The directors have taken a step in the right direction, and we think those who have the oversight of some neighboring cemeteries would do well to follow a. good precedent in order that the cities of our dead may not wear that desolate and neglected appearance which so impresses the visitor that our departed loved ones are both gone and forgotten .
