Death was instantaneous. The de- ceased is unmarried. and a resident of To- ronto. Considerable difï¬culty was experienc- ed in identifying the remains, and for a time it was thought to be a car repairer nam- ed Alford who was killed. The club is open for challenges, Thornhill preferred. Not Quite Clear. Last Saturday our junior Base Ball club drove to Thornhill to play the return match with the Invincibles of that Village. On re turning;r home the cheering was so general that our sporting editor had every reason to believe that the home team had been white- washed by our boys, and he wrote an article on the result accordingly. Later we learned that the match was a. draw ; afterwards that the Hill had won by one run. At any rate the visitors would have been victorious had not the Thornhill scorer cut the notches on the wrong side of the stick. In view of the conflicting reports we will reserve our account of the match till we get further light on the Horse Stolen. Mr. Wm. Jones, 3rd Con.
