According to announcement the Epworth‘ League gavevits last entertainment for the season on Friday evening. It was a unique affair in many respects. The school room was tastin decorated with pink tissue paper. pink flowers and pink drapings. The pink lamps through their pink shades cast a pink light. The pink ties of many of the gentle- man harmonized with the surroundings; and pink icing on the cakes and pink ice cream made all agree that the relreshments were tnstily appropriate. The programme was excellent throughout, and was contrib- uted by looul talent, with the exception of two numbers and an encore which were given by Rev. H. S. Magee, of Toronto. This gentleman sang in a very pleasing manner to his own banjo accompaniment. Miss Mary Trench. Mr. A. J. Home and Mr. E. Mason also won loud applause by their songs, and the instrumentals of Miss E. Switzer and Mr. R. Glass received equal demonstrations of approval. As this was the last public meeting of the League, the president. Mr. Hume, called attention to the fact that our ministers must soon leave for new ï¬elds. He then asked Mr. Coombs to step forward and on behalf of the League to express the regret felt at their departure. Mr. Coombs spoke of the zeal of the min- isters in League Work and expressed the appreciation of the League at the hearty encouragement it had received during the present pastorate. Mr. Vieksry made a feeling reply. and assured the League that such words of appreciation as he had just listened to, encouraged him very much. He spoke in mosthindly terms of the relation- ship which had always existed between him and his people here. and expresred a regret at leaving. The whole entertainment was full of pleasure and proï¬t. Try the Tea, enher green or mixsd that we are selling now at 200. per lb., in bulk. You’ll ï¬nd it as good as package teas at 250. per 1b.
