Marsh celebrated the 25th unâ€" uix‘ersm-y of their marriage at their lovely home, “Elms Lear.” The glwsts present numbered fully 100, and it is safe to say no livelier nor better lookin company ever assem- bled along listorit: Yonge street. From a. social standpoint and from every standpoint the pleasing affair Was a, great success, and the enter- tainment, afforded was enjoyed by both old and young. Mr. and Mrs. Marsh, as host and hostess, did every- thing possible. to make their guests at home, and succeeded. admirably in their plvasaut task. The daughters assisted with grace and dignity and everything passed off without a jar of un’y kind, so well were the arrange- ments carried out. The supper was excdleut, and the tables were laden with (everything that the most fastidi- ous would desire. After the first table, which was intended for the family and near relatives, congratulatory speeches \vere made and a pleasant half hour spent. The “Bride and Groom” was proposed by Rev. J. A. Grant in a. neat speech. A few [mm-s which followed the supper were spent in singing. instrumental music aid various games, concluding with (5 social hup in which guests of all ages participated. Dr. Sis/Ivy of Maple then px-npnsed in a. must felicitous manner the health of “ The Parents,” Mr. and Mrs. Alt-L; Marsh and Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McLean, and Mr. McLean ably responded. A pleasant feature of the. evening was that the parents on both sides were present in the best of health and sKix-its, and all seemed to enter into t e amusement and entertainment- with as much enjoyment as they wguld thirty years ago. A number expeet; to saw their full wheat, this week. SiJVer Wedding. Temperanceville Mr. Geo. Cunningham who formerly lived at; Wilcox Lake, was accidently killed. Mr. Norman took the morning train on Saturday for Orillia, and reâ€" turned in the evening. Quite a large concourse of neighbors and friends at- tended the funeral as Mr. Cunning- ham and f:unily,,are held in very high esteem at Ardtree. Nm-th Orillin, Where they reside. The interment took place at Orillia cemetery. The young man was 17 years Old and while hauling water, going down hill, one of the barrels tipped forward throwing young Cunningham down at: the horses heels, the front, wheels passing over his body crushing him. He lived about two hours in great agony. Mrs. H. R. Lee ari-ived h‘EIme for a few days from Burk’s Falls and is visiting her parents at Broadview. She givesa vivid account of the fire that, did so much damage in that town so rec-aptly. ‘ The Epwmth League of this place have very interesting meetings every Tuesday evening; all are welcome.
