There have been far larger audiences at previous concerts in the Agricul- tural flail on the 24th of May, but it . is safe. to say that a. better programme ' was never presented in that building than was given on Friday evening last. Every artist as previously advertised was on hand, and each performed his and her part with creditand ability. Mr. J. T. Saigeon of Maple, made an excellent chairman. and the order tln-oughoutfwasall-that could be de- sired. Miss Mabel Tait proved herself an accomplished pianist, and played the accompaniments with skill and good judgment. Miss Tressa Flanagan was in fine voice. and her songs were. well received. Miss Ada. Casgrove is i always a. favorite, and she never gave ‘ better satisfaction here than she did Friday evening in her serio-comic and vaudeville selections. The two comic singers, MeSsrs. Harvey Lloyd and Harry Fay, were in good form, and they experienced no difiiculi y in bold- ing the attention of their hearers. Their songs were good, principally new. and many of their jokes were ex- tremely funny. And lastly let us re- fer to the part of the entertainment rendered by Miss Marietta. Lal)ell. She was gorgeously costumed, she gave every selection with grace and dignity, and in her portrayal of the simplicity of childhood she showed more than ordinary ability. Some of her impeisonations were very rich, and she succeeded admirably in keep- ing her audience interested. and in the best of humor. Every pei former dur- ing the evening was loudly encored, and all showed their appreciation by responding. The concert committee are to be congratulated on securing such excellent talent for the entertaim ment. [)ukn of Atkinsux n'l‘izlgo W hit cmupl if you don’t want to buy. don't. But look.
