The writer knows of larger places than Richmond Hill that have new houses to rent at $6.00 a Inoritli and is informed that here. too, there are [ll-1H"! let for this price, and so the assertion of “One who knows,†that a. house coild not. he built to rent at that priCe, is disproved. 3. Even if it were impossible to build and let at so low a. price, seven or eight dollars Could just as easily be got tor a tidy place. People in Rich- mond Hill will pay $10.00 for the thing they want as readily as people in any other place. But to say they would not before they have had a. chance is hardly fair. Besides. those who come from cities and towns where rents are high, \Vould regard $10.00 as very low rent. 4. It cannot be reasonably expected thatthose who corrre to reside here should build for themselves, especially if they are. employed labor with no assurance of permanent. residence. No town ever grew whose citizens were so unaggressive as to refuse to build accommodation for new comers. iSTEAM colic- - _ , [Single copies, 3 cts. CdAIZi, f For sale at the C.
