About I 500 were. seated and par-took of the‘ bountiful lunch provided. Afterwards I the. male portion proceeded to the] plots to hear the lectures by Prof 1 Zavitzand others. Theselectures were i interestingr and the discussions profit- 1 able, the Prof. remarking that there had been more disrussioh on this occasion than on any preceding ex- cursion this year. As we passad along by the strawberry beds one of our number who could not read was unable. to resist the temptation to taste of the forbidden fruit and got just one. berry when he was rmninded. like Adam. . that this Eden of Iusciousness was not for him. We visited all the stables and saw everything of interest there, but will not go into details as this would make this article. too lengthy. The ladies during this time had been under the kind one of Prof. Klinck, who. among the young ladies of the college, had up to this date been con- sidered a very bashful youngr man. but when he appeared surrounded by ten very healthy and good looking ladies their views were completely shattered. But, Mr. Klinck proved a very efficient guide and the. ladies certainly saw all worth seeing at the O.A.C. besides being treated to refreshments of ice cream and lemonade. But-the hour for meeting the train came all too quickly and we thought ofinspecting theR.C. church atGuelph. But before starting we were instructed into the mysteries of howling by James Carey. Our calculations were rudely shattered for seeing the chumh for our car was late but our fun was not di- minished for we witnessed a very in- teresting acrobatic performance on the limbs of a pine tree where Jake and Saunders performed the operation of skinning the cat, George after a scien- tific trial failed. amid laughter we boarded the train and speeded on the homeward journey. Fun waxed fast and furious being seasoned by Bert’s bananasand oranges and the inevitable peanuts. etc., the shells and skins of which lit in unsuspecting places. Sing- Aing also occupied some of the spare time. North Toronto was soon reach- ed Where we changed to the York Radial; while waiting.r certain of the gentlemen were interviewed by a, friend from Newmarket. Then came the car and the. journey to The Hill and Home. Sweet Home. There was some fun and singing and just before parting the strains of “God be with you till we meet again" sounded thro’ the car. Lastly the buggies and the ride home tired but having enjoyed ourselves. Sophia Laura, wife of Robert Best- ard. died at Lansing on the first of July after-an illness of four months. His prescriptionâ€" Dr. Shoop’s Restorativeâ€"is directed straight; for the cause of these all- ments-these weak and faltering in- side nerves. This. no doubt, clearly explains why the Restorative has of late grown sn rapidly in popularity.
