The Bishop nf Tumntn preached at Rich- mond Hill. He chnse for his text the ï¬rst, V's-me of the 147th Psalm. Praise. he said, is the key note at this psnlm as indeed it, is of the Whole of the lith and last book uf the psalms. This thought, he enlarged and applied to our present: duty u- God with regard to the blessings of His providence. It was an excellent sermon and most appropriate to the occasion. The Chair of St. Albans Cathedral lendered the musical part of the service in a manner that was highly appl-eciigged._ At Trinity Chm-Eh the Rev. Lawrence Sissy. rector of St. Anne's, Toronto, preached the sermon and the choir of that, Church tarnished the music. The Picellency of both sermon and music was the subject of general comment. Both churches were very tastefully decorated with grains and other symbols of the harvest. Owing to the inclemency of the weather the con- gregations were not large. But they were large enough to indicate the probabilities had it been ï¬ne. The Rev. John Gibson desires to thank the people of this vicinity for the generous manner in which they have always assisted in these services.
