In private life there is no sug- gestion of the sleuthâ€"hound about Mr. Ginnell. He wears a beard .and a, well-ï¬tting frock coat. Though he is self-educated, he is a. member of both the Irish and Eng- lish Barr, and helped to found the Irish Literary Society in London. He has written on “Land and Lib- erty,†and_may one day write on what appeals to him as the greatest of all mysteries, under some such title as “Och, the Jewels.†V Mr. Ginnell main- tains that he posâ€" " sesses sulï¬cient in- : formation to dis- 7' solve the mystery ’1 once and for all. I“ On several occa- ,1]; sions he has made 4“ valiant attempts to " induce the House of z’ Commons' to hear his views on the subject. Solemnly he arises, and l . ,. members guess ‘ "" what is coming. Mr. Lawrence Mr. Ginnell in- Glnnell, M.P.forms the House that he. is in a position to make shocking revelations, and just as he is getting into his stride it is dis- covered that most of the members have disappeared and the House is counted out. ’Tis very strange, and curiousâ€"minded people outside the House would like to see Mr. Gin- nell given a free hand to probe the mystery. The member for Westâ€" meath declares that the jewels could be recovered at any time, and a great scandal is being hushed up to save persons in high places. In fact, Mr. Ginnell recently called on the Irish Secretary “to lay them on the table of the Houseâ€: A roar Went up at the possible prospect of English, Irish, Scotch and Welsh, to say nothing of other nationali- ties, scrambling for ‘the precious jewels. The mystery of the Crown jewels, which disappeared from Dublin Castle a. few years ago, has never been cleared up. There are many people who have decided views on the subject, and prominent, among them is Mr. Lawrence Ginnell, the Nationalist member for Westmea-th in the British Parliament. “I felt a beneï¬t after taking the ï¬rst box of Dodd’s Kidney Pills, and eight or nine boxes cured me so completely I can now walk a mile without fatigue.†If you haven’t used Dodd’s Kidâ€" ney Pills yourself almost any of your neighbors will tell you they always cure Kidney Disease in any form.
