On June 1st Miss Fraser left her beautiful home in the west end of the village and moved to North Tor- onto, as she had not been well for some time and required a rest. Late Agnes Fraser It was with the deepest sorrow that the many friends of Miss Agnes Fraser heard of her death in Toronto last Thursday following a stroke of paralysis. TAXES Eversley community picnic was held at Eaton Hall Farm on Satur- ‘day July 24th. This picnic is becom- ing more popular each year. About ï¬ve hundred people gathered in' the athletic grounds by the lake and watched the keenly contested sports. Norman McMurchy proved the fleet foot in the hundred yard dash; Eliz- a beth McClure won the cake in the Ladies race and Mrs. O’Dell was the champion in the watermelon race. After games of football and baseball were run of everyone adjourned to where the tables were literally groan- ing with good things and enjoyed the hospitality of the ladies. This picnic is voted the best yet. Mr. Wells McDonald and friends motored to Kirkï¬eld on Sunday. While there Mr. McDonalds car was run into by a car driven by an Am- erican. The impact was so great Mr. McDonald was thrown out of his sedan to the middle of the road. Fortunately he sustained no serious injuries. Mr. P. L. Mason of Winnipeg is East on a business trip and called at his old home town to see his mother. He reports business as being excep- tionally good in the west this year and the prospects as being very bright. Miss Grace Stone has returned from a two weeks visit with her sisâ€" ter Mrs. Rev. P.
