A bout 125 members and vis- itors were present, among whom were represented, Doric Lodge of New- market; Rising Sun, Aurora; Rich- mond, Richmond Hill; Vaughan. M"- ple; Union, Markham;. Bro. G. H. Duncan, W.M.. and his officers exem- plified the second degree. Several sister lodges then presented Patter- sou Lodge with an officers which will be used by.the chaplain. The presentation was made by W. Bro. H. H. Lang, of Richmond Lodge and R. W. Bro. B. MacDonald of Ris- ing Sun Lodge. Following the mem- bers adjourned to the banquet hall. The toast to Grand Lodge was pro~ posed by W. Bro. J. E. Francis and replied to by R. W. Bro. Bro. W. E. Hopkings, D. D. G. M.. R. W. Bro. G. MacDonald past D. D. G. M. and very Worshipfulero. W. E. Brown, W. Bro. E. S. Cox proposed the toast to the visiting brethren which was replied to by the masters of the vis- iting- Lodges. An undenominational meeting of all Sunday school superintendents along Yonge Street from the city limits to Oak Ridges was held last week in Thornhill to prepare for the founda- tion of a Yonge Street Sabba h school Association. A. W. Galbraith of Newtonbrook, President/ of the South York Sabbath School Association, presided. Formerly the superinten- dents alo.g Yonge Street belonged to either 3:the Vaughan or the Mark ham Township Associations, but have found it very inconvenient to attend owing to the distance and lack of transportation.
