The roll call was answered by anewspape'r cutting, after which there was a gen- eral discussion on “An easy way of Entertaining summer guests.” A very interesting reading was given by Mrs. Armstrong, of Langstaff. Also a delightful vocal solo by Miss Nora Tew and a piano solo by Miss Helen Clubine. Refreshments were then served and a social hour spent. Miss Jessie Baker, of Toron- to, who acted as bridesmaid was attr- actively gowned in a shell pink flat crepe dress with hat to match and carried columbia roses and lily-of-the valley. The groom was assisted by Mr. John Pyke, of Toronto. Following the ceremony, a buffet luncheon was held at the home of the brides parents. Died Suddenly Mr. Ambrose Lewis a well known farmer of Markham Township died suddenly at his home on the seventh concession on Friday last. The fune- ral was held on Sunday from his late residence and interment followed at Stouffville cemetery.
