It is a lengthy bill and re- Vises the whole act quite thoroughly from the question of issuing writs and enumeration down to the routine de- ‘tails of making returns. There are, however, two new features in the Act. One is that the afternoon of election day shall be a holiday. This is a pro- vision that was included in the last reâ€" vision of the act and omitted by a cler- ical error when it was sent on to the Senate. Another provision that has ‘been talked of before but nothing de- ‘finite done is to provide for permanent 1returning officers. The forty-eighth convention of the Vaughan Township Sabbath ‘School Association was held in Woodbridge United Church. Addresses were deâ€" livered by Miss Lewis, of the Ontario Religious Educational Council, Tor- onto; Rev. Mr. Kerr, of Maple; Rev. Mr. Halbert, King City; A. W. Farr, and Win. Hamilton, Woodbridge.
