There was a large crowd at the auction sale held by Charlie Black, of Vaughan township on Tuesday. Hor- ses sold well and white wyndotte hens sold for $1.55 each. Four months old pullets brought $1.30 each. Sheep sold for $17.00 and $18.00 each and theme was keen bidding for the imple~ ments which brought excellent prices. The sale totalled $2500. J. T. The occasion was graced by the pre- sence of many visiting members of the Clergy and by over two hundred members and friends of the congre- gation. The new hall is a modern structure of attractive design amdiwill fill a long felt need in the church life of the Parish. It is erected as a memorial to a dearly beloved former rector of the church, Rev. S. A. Law- rence and will be a fitting and' fasting tribute to his memory. In his address Bishop S'weeny con- gratulated the members of Trinity church on the completion of such a splendid parish hall and referred elo- quently to the life and work of the late Rev. Lawrence in honor of whose memory the hall has been named. He spoke of the many advantages of such a hall and said it was a necessity in the church life of a parish.
