The open season for Garden Parties IS here. North York township council struck the tax rate for the year at the meet- ing last Week. The rate lchis year is one mill higher than last year. For township purposes a rate of 12 mills is necessary. In the words of an enthusiastic supporter of an adequate car service on Yonge Street “It won’t be long now.” Only one-third of the objective of $2,000 required as a guarantee to in- stall “talkies” in Meaford, has been raised by the Board of Trade in an advance ticket sale. Down in Southwestern Ontario the little town of Blenheim has discover- ed a graveyard under its main street. The bones of two persons, presumably of a man and a woman, either Indian or early settlers, were unearthed dur- ing excavations for sewer connections.
