Think of Solomon’s plight if he had undertaken to drive with all those Wives, e'tc., in the back seat. l 'The funeral of the late Colin Camp- lbell a highly respected citizen of King itownship was held from the King City {United Church last Friday afternoon. ‘It was one of the largest funerals ever held in the district and the many friends and relatives in attendance was evidence of the widespread regret and sorrow occasioned by his sudden passing. The late Mr. Campbell had been ill for a little over a week, but nothing serious was thought of until late last week, when he developed pneumonia and his death came on Wednesday, November 19th. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters. l A successful “euchre” was held at the new club rooms of the Richmond Hill Young Men’s Social Club in the Palmer Block, Arnold Street last Thursday evening. Arrangements were in the hands of the president and secretary, Eric White and Bill Mylks. Five tables were in play and the win- ner of the prize on the evening’s play was Frank Grainger. The consolat- ion prize went to N. Cook. Young men of the community are invited to join the Social Club and membership tickets are now on sale for the sum of $1.00. Thieves broke into the garage of Benjamin Reesor, 9th concession, of Markham township, Sunday night and stole his car.
