Ross, Minister of Edu- cation, has stated that the question of superannuation of school teachers will be re-corrsidered at the ensuing ses- sion of the Local Legislature. The present system gives but poor satisâ€" faction and requires a remedy. The majority of the teachers are in favor of abolishing the tax altogether. At a. meeting of the Aurora Fire Brigade recently held, the members accepted the challenge of a number of young men from the Township of King, for a “Tug of War.†The con- test is to take place in the drill shed on Saturday when an admission of ten cents will be charged.
