To the Public BRIGHI~ MUSIC Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church REV. J. D. CUNNINGHAM The number of deaths and near deaths dut to gas from furnaces and stoves in recent weeks is very alarming and should be a warning to every householder to take every precaution against these deadly fumes. Human life should not be endangered by leaky and defective pipes and a check up right now in every home in this district might be the means of av01ding a terrible tragedy. A few dollars ex- pended now on a check up of your heating system will be money well spent. DON’T TAKE CHANCES ANY LONGER. Have your heating system and pipes checked over to-day. We are pleased to co-operate with the house- holders of this district in taking steps to avoid any of the possible disasters due to this menace and if you want your system checked over just telephone our office and we will put you in touch With workmen qualified to do the work for you. gpecial Evening Sermong WE CARRY IN STOCK THE FOLLOWING FUELSâ€" WELSH COBBLES â€"- WELSH BLOWER ANTHRACITE IN EGG, STOVE, NUT & PEA SIZES SCREENED B.W. I am very glad to be able to supply them, as the trip throughout was most enjoyable and economical and I feel that the public do not realize the capabilities of a FORD V-8. The mileage covered on the way down was 1665.5 miles and we used 84.8 American gallons of gasoline at a cost of $18.25, which works out to 23.76 miles per Imperial gallon. The reason for the slightly lesser mileage per gallon on the return trip was that we drove at fairly high speed on the highways and did a good deal of driving in the cities in which we stopped: we stayed in Charleston, SC, for ten days. My wife and I left our home, north of Richmond Hill, Ontario, on February 15th last, at which time the speedometer reading on my car was 5336.5 miles. We' travelled to Lake Worth, Florida, stayed there for some time, and returned by a circuitous route, stopping over at several cities on the way back. The mileage on the return trip was 2097 and we used 106 Amer- ican gallons of gasoline at a cost of $24.75, which works out to 21.7 miles per Imperial gallon: a round trip average of 22.48 miles per Imperial "allnv. gallon. We left Richmond Hill with one gallon of fresh Mobiloil in the crank case and added NO OIL during the whole trip, until we reached Niagara Falls, New York, ON THE WAY BACK, where I had it changed. The remark of the Service Station attendant there was that he had seen worse oil than that which he removed from the crank case. I am so pleased with the FORD V-8 that I do not intend to drive any heavier or more expensive car again, having turned in my Stearns- Knight when I purchased the FORD in which we made this trip. .
