Now is the time for the fall activities to get into action for the coming Winter program. This is a busy time. Just one thing after another. The marriage took place on Tues- day, September 3rd, at the parson- age, of Mr. John D. McNair of To- ronto, to Miss Ethel J. Hunt of Vic- toria Square by Rev. A. P. Brace, The High School opened Tuesday With an attendance of 97. This will likely be increased by 20 b3" the end of the month. Probably no village in Ontario offers better educational advantages than Richmond Hill does. Our citizens and Board of Education have spared no expenses in the erec- tion of school buildings that are in- viting‘ and comfortable, and offer a school home that anyone can be proud of. A town is greatly judged by its 'churches and schools. Our churches are a credit to a town of this size, and our schools are equally good in most respects. The pastors and tea- chers have been faithful and compe- tent, and we believe both church- goers and pupils appreciate the ad- vantages that have been given them. Various parts of machinery ior the new elevator at the C.N.O. station are now being placed in position, and the manager, Mr. Ramer, expects to be ready to receive shipments of grain Monday. A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents. The happy couple left on a week’s trip before settling in their new and comfortably furnished parsonage in Warminster. Canada's National Show “'indow We have heard folks state that the Canadian National Exhibition is the same every (year, there is noth- ing new. Such visitors to the Fair could not have made the rounds of the cattle and horse stables, farm implements, South African, India, New Zealand, United States, and last but not least by any means the Britâ€" ish exhibits as well as other parts of the world that includes all the ‘zones and climates of the world. The Canadian National Exhibition is the ‘greatest annual show window of the world. The Approach of Election Day It is just a month now until elec- tion day on October 6th and so far nothing much is being said around Woodbridg‘e regarding it, so the onlry conclusions we can arrive at is that no fault can be found with the Occu- pants of the Government branches under the leadership of Hon. Mitchell F. Hepburn. Ontario’s progressive premier.
