Jcseiph Nattress, who was born in Teronito Gore township 85 years ago, passed away at the Wes»â€" ton home of her daughter, Mrs. Jas. Wood, on Monday morning, April 10, following a short illness. Mrs. Nat- tress was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Cole, of Col- eraine. For about 30 years after her marriage she lived tn a farm in Toronto Gore, then moving to Bolâ€" ton where her husband died. For the past 14 years she has resided at Weston. At the time of her death she was a member of the Cen- tral United Church. Surviving are 4 daughters and 3 sons, Mrs. James Wood, Weston; Mrs. Albert Robin- son, Bolton; Mrs. Norman Robb, Nobleton; Mrs. Charles Thomas. Nashville; T. Herbert, Toronto Gore; John C., Edmonton, Alt-21.; Wesley N., Winnipeg, Man.; also 2 step-sons, Isaac. Brampton; James, Wood-‘ bridge; 1 sister, Mrs. George Train, Toronto; 2 brothers, Thomas Cole, Woodbridge; Walker Cole, New To- ronto: 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brief “man hunt” through the area surrounding Dufferin St. and No. 7 Highway Tuesday resulted in the arrest of two men. Provincial, County and municipal police joined in the hunt after the men, jumping from a reportedly stolen car, took to the bush following a police chase. A third man was reported to have slipped through the police cordon. Harry Thorndack, an employee on W. E. Duncan’s farm, near Emery. suffered a broken leg last Friday when kicked by a cow in the stable. The injured man was milking the animal at the time of the accident. Alone at the time. Mr. Thorndack succeeded in attracting the attention of members of the household who summoned a d0ctor. Later he was taken to the Western Hospital.
