Knowles of Aurora has been recommended by the York County Council for appointment of assistant probation officer of the York County Juvenile and domestic relations court. If his appointment is confirmed by the provincial gov- ernment he will have to resign his office as reeve of Aurora. This would require a nomination meeting to fill the vacancy. It would be the fifth nomination held in Aurora this year. There were three special nom- inations held‘ in connection with the office of mayor.
