The warm welcome given by Mrs. Cairns and Lena in their home was an inspiration to their many friends and an example of patience and cheerfulness. She and her daughter found constant pleasure in each other’s company and the loss is very keen. ‘ Mrs. Cairns was a life long mem- ber of the United Church, and the Women’s Missionary Society which Surviving are two children, James of King and Lena at home. There are two grandchildren. Her son William died some years ago and Mr. Cairns was deceased three years ago. A grandson, Douglas Cairns, was drgwned two years ago. security. They are living at present in an apartment in Mrs. Stone’s house, mother of Mrs. Proctor. After ar- riving here it was not long before their car was badly smashed in a collision on the tannery hill by a milk truck. No one was injured. A new industry will make its ap- pearance in King in the new year, a cold storage locker, operated on full scale under efficient manage- ment.
