HEADFORD GORMLEY In ages past our forefathers fought to gain our freedom and liberty to speak, think, worship, and act as Lee see fit. That liberty has been handed down to us. The only drawback of this liberty is that it de- mands self-discipline; in. other words privileges gain- ed require duty to be done. In, every day life this duty is the conducting of oneself as a citizen at the com- munity and country, fulfilling such demands as may be made upon us. One of these demands is the selection of our re- presentatives â€" Municipal, Provincial and Federal. It is a sad commentary on our recognition of this privilege of citizenship as a duty, that the proportion of citizens exercising this privilegeâ€"duty is so small in most places. ’ , Let us in Richmond Hill show the people that WE realize this is a privilege hard-won for us which we will not give up.
