Laver is progressing fa- vourably after an operation in the Private Patients Pavilion of General Hospital, Toronto. We hear that Mr. David Cooper is ill again, and wish him a speedy re- covery. Also all the children who are ill with chicken pox. The marriage of Audrey Mont- gomery to Ross Knight took place in Chalmers United Church, Mount Dennis, Saturday, May 14. The reception was held at Maple Villa. and the happy couple left for a trip north to Hyaliburton amid a shower of confetti and good wishes. On their return they will reside in Maple. North'York Lions presented a min strel show in Maple Concert Hall on Friday, May 13th, under the auspices of Maple Lions, and it was a huge success. The hall was filled to cap- acity. The entertainers are to be congratulated on the fine perfor- mance enjoyed by all. Coming from Ca‘m‘bray, Ont. (near Lindsay) a three act comedy “A Ready Made Family.” In Maple Concert Hall, May 27th, at 8 o’clock. Sponsored by Mrs. Forrest’s Group of the United Church W. A.
