Dana Porter, Provincial At- torney-General, has announced that 'motor cycle details of the Provincial Police will be assigned to curb speed- ing and reckless driving and cut down the accident toll. Mr. Porter said the Provincial Po- lice were reintroducing motor cycle details on many of the more con- gested highways. “Several years ago,” he said, “the department aban- doned the motor-cycle for the now familiar white and black radio- equipped squad car, but a recent sur- vey revealed the necessity of some motor~cycles on trafl'ic-congested roads such as the Queen Elizabeth Way and Yonge Street. We have approximately twelve new machines on order and they should be in ser- vice by July lst." Motor-Cycle Police To Patrol Yonge St. The club has joined the North York Tennis League, which includes teams from Aurora, Newmarket. Mount Al- bert and Uxbridge. A special feaâ€" ture of the league will be the staging Jf a Junior Tournament later in the summer. Student members are reminded that there is ample opportunity to worl off their membership. All they haw to do is to advise a member of the brounds committee when they have time to spare for work. The bride’s mother received, gowned in lilac crepe with navy accessories and corsage of sweet peas and gladioli. She was assisted by the groom’s stepmother in black crepe dress with corsage of roses and carnations. The junior bridesmaid, Miss Helen Oliver. also a cousin, wore a frock of similar material in pale green, with matching bonnet tied with a veil and carried a nosegay of spring flowers.
