MARY’S ANGLICAN CHURCH NOTICE BIRTHS days; A quiet wedding took place re- cently at the Richmond Hill United Church Manse when Eileen Mir- iam Clarke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Clarke, Toronto, became the bride of Grant Arnold Crofts, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Crofts, In- golsby, Ontario. Rev C. B. Breth- en performed the doulfle ring cere- mony. The bride wore a streehlength dress of powder blue crepe, flow- ered headdress and navy blue ac- cessories. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and white gladioli petals. Mrs. F. Birchall, Richvale, sister of the bride was matron of honour and we‘re a. grey crepe dress, navy blue accessories, flowered headdress and carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and bronze mums. Lucille Bir- chall, niece of the bride, was flow- er girl in an orchid silk crepe dress and carried a nosegay of pink roses and orchid gladioli pet- als. Mr. Norman Harrison, Ingolsby, was best man. CROFTS-CLARKE After the reception held in Bet- tles Dining Room the bride donned a powder blue coat and navy ac- cessories. The happy couple left for a trip to Haliburton. CUUl’ER’l‘HWAITE-SHERMAN A quiet wedding was solemnized in Victoria Square United Church Manse on Saturday, September 3, when Mona Marie Sherman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. I. Sherman of Langstaff became the bride of William Bruce Couper- thwaite, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Couperthwaite. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Currey. The bride was gowned in grey crepe with navy hat and accessories. She was at- tended by her sister, Lois Sher- man, whose gown was navy blue with navy hat and accessaries. The best man was Melville Couper- thwaite, brother of the groom. Following the wedding a recep- tion for about fifty guests was held at Leitchcroft Farm Recrea- tion Room when the bride’s mo- ther received wearing navy blue, assisted by the groom’s mother in green. .
