LITTLE BROTHERS Ford & Monarch Sales & Service PHONE 174, RICHMOND HILL III-IIIIIIIIIIIIII George Agar, a nephew, his wife and little daughter called during the afternoon. A sister, Mrs. An- nie Mortson of Edgeley, eighty- three years old and practically an invalid was able to be present. Mrs. Bone has two other sisters, Mrs. Richard Thomas of White Rose, ninety-one and Mrs. George Middleton, 73 years of Lang, Sask, who were unable to be present owing to ill health and distance. Mrs. Bone was the recipient of very lovely gifts and hearty good wishes for many happy returns of the day. Unlike other years, the club this year Wished to have an executive and its wishes were fulï¬lled when the following were elected: Pres- ident, Agnes Kinnee; secretary, Janet Abram; treasurer, Scott Latimer; reporter, Dorothy Hood. The dining room was lovely with vases of yellow and white ’mums about, a. gift of the Carrville Wo- man’s Association of which Mrs. Bone is a. member. The dining room table was bright with silver and a centrepiece of pin-k and white roses and baby’s breath on a pretty lace tablecloth. A beau- tiful birthday cake also graced the table. Mrs. Ernest Bone, a daughter- in-1aw and a niece, Mrs. Jack Frisby poured tea in the afternoon and in the evening Mrs. Herman Mortson and Mrs. C. S. \Stong, nieces poured tea. Assistants in the dining room were two nieces, Mrs. Harold Mortson and Mrs. Gordon Mortson. Recent sales of property in the township have raised the question as to where the money goes if the necessary enabling legislation is secured. Some township officials take the view that the money ac- crues to the property which would be taxed if deï¬cits occurr. Others take the stand that the payments should be made to the individuals who own or have owned the prop- erty now or in the past. Legal ad- vice on the matter is being- sought. Each year a. boy and girl are chosen to be on the Toronto Sym- phony Orchestra Student Council. This year the representatives are Norman Middleton and Jane Rey- craft. Agnes Kinnee, who was a. representative last year, is now the secretary of the Council. $895.00 1942 DODGE SEDAN Special 8 Passenger â€" nice condi- tion Honour Carrville Lady (In Eightieth Birthday Last Monday afternoon and ev- ening Mrs. Walter Bone of Carr- ville was at home to her friends and neighbours, it being the oc- casion of her eightieth birthday. Mrs. Bone received her guests wearing an attractive gown of grey crepe and a cors-age of pink roses. As some doubt was expressed as to the township’a position in this respect it was decided by Markham township council to ask for a special provincial act to per- mit payments to be made. Who Gets Proï¬ts? Now Being Asked Re Bus Earnings Proï¬ts from the system have been accumulated by the township for some years and have been placed in a separate account. Some time ago it was decided to pay the accumulated proï¬ts to prop- erty owners in that section of the township which is ï¬nancially res- ponsible for the operation of the system. .“Do proï¬ts from operation of the North Yonge transportation system accrue to the property or the owner?" is one of the questions of the moment in Markham town- ship.
