Thirtyâ€"one contestants, each chosen to represent their, home county or district as a result of winning local competitions, went through a written examination and a practical test covering adjust- ments necessary for a tractor plow prior to demonstrating their skill in- driving a tractor and ruober tired wagon through a difficult course. On this basis the top five contestants were selected and they were required to drive again and the score thus obtained was auded to the previous total. I It was decided to enlarge the Parish Council to meet the needs of a growing parish, so that the council will now have six elected representatives from the Vestry in addition to all Church officers and two representatives from each or- ganization. ' The women of the Vestry reâ€" quested that the right be granted to women to sit as mmbers of the Diocesan Synod, and a motion to that effect was carried unanimous- ly, requesting the Parish’s Lay Delegates to Synod do all in their power to bring about the necessary changes in the Canons and the Constitution of the Diocese. A outstanding feature of this meeting was the large number of enthusiastic‘men present, auguring well for the future activities or the Parish. A very happy evening was brought to an end by refresh- ments served by the members of the W. A. Kitchen Committee The latest bee-hive of industry in Trinity Church is amongst a group of women representing the various women‘s organizations who vcu nvuu v. e are responsible for seeing to the equipment in the kitchen of the new Church.
