Feature of the evening was a demonstration by Mrs. Wes- Blackburn. Mrs. Blackburn, in a most inter- esting way kept; the members spellbound as she told of a craft of which she is a master. The W.A. of Trinity Church meeting in the Parish Hall on Thursday, March 8 decided that the Turkey Supper will be held on April 20, beginning at five o‘c1ock. There Will be three sittings, one at five, one at six and one at seVen o‘clock. Tickets for each sitting will have their own special colour, and those attending and buying tickets beforehand are asked, where possible, to buy their tick- ets for the hour when they expect to be present. John of the South India Church. Mr. John, who is doing post-grad- uate work in Religious Education‘ at the University of Toronto gave: an interesting talk on the history and work of Christian Missions in India. He is the grandson or one of the first two natives ordained in the Church of England in South India and comes from a Commun- ity of Syrian Christians who trace their history to Apostolic days â€"â€" St. Mark :by legend vhaving intro- duced Christianity to South India. Mr. John told of the changes taking place in India today, md expained how we in the Weswm World could help. He declared that in the day of St. Paul a cry had gone from the West to the East for help, and that now the process Was reversed, and that the cry was from the East for help from the West. The York County Folk .School will be/held at the home of Mr. and‘ Mrs. Paul Snider, March 15 to 18 with registration at 6 o’clock on Thursday evening. Mr. Jones, age 81, father of Mr. Charles Jones, passed away in the Huntsville Hospital last week af- ter a short illnes. Interment took place in Orillia.
