Maple Women’s Institute 'Ilhe regular meeting of Maple Women’s Institute will be held at the home of Mrs. William Noble on Wednesday, April 11, at 8.15 After a lingering illness Mr. Richard Jarrett one of Maple’s old- est citizens, passed away in the hospital, March 27, in his 89th year. He was one of a family of ten. children, seven boys and three girls, and was the last living mem- ber of the original Vellore Old Boys. He was born on the ï¬fth line of the Township of York and had lived all his life Within a radius of ten miles of his birthplace. For the last nineteen years he had liv- ed in Maple village. His wife pre- deceased him two and a half years ago. He was a life-long farmer and a carpenter, beng still active at carpentering two years ago. The funeral was held from son’s residence in Maple with terment in Maple cemetery.
