Adams has returned home from St. Michael’s Hespital Toronto and is very thankful to all her friends who were so kind to her. The last meeting of the Busy Bees Mission Band for this season was held on Satuday, June 2, at the home of Helen Calder witn the vice-president, Carol Downing, in the clhair. Peggy Joslin and Ca- tharine Johnson read the scripture and led in prayer. Marilyn Brice took up the offering. It was an- nounced that some twenty-seven dollars had already been realized from the sale of the Every Day cards, also that the bale assembled the previous week was valueu at $30. Success to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cooper on the opening of their new ice cream bar. Sympathy is extended to Mr. John Denby Sr. in the loss of his sister and to Mr. Barry Stephen- son in the loss of his Aunt, Lavina Denby, beloved wife of Arthur Stephenson, KennedyStreet, Aurora Ontario, who passed away at York County Hospital, Newmarket on Thursday, May Blst. The Sunday School anniversary of Maple United Church was very well attended on Sunday. Mr. M. J. Kinnee led in the worship ser- vice. He was assisted by Susan Eveley who read the scripture less- on. Mrs. P. J. Lambert told the children a story and the Junior choir under the direction of Mrs. Wm. Woods. Rev. P. J. Lambert spoke fittingly to the children. During the past year, the Sunday School of Maple United Church h'as gown steadily and for .this has grown steadily and for this consecrated teachers who underâ€" take the work each Sunday. Mrs. Ewart Burns entered the Weston Memorial Hospital a couple of weeks ago, and after a stay of about a week, Underwent a serious operation. Mrs. Burns is now re- cuperating splendidly and hopes to be home soon. Mrs. Burn’s moth- er is staying at her daughters home taking charge while she Is in the hospital. Stanley as he arrived from Kent, England, for a 2 months’ visit with his bro- ther, Sam, after first spending tWO days in New York City. After 23 years of separation, the Stanley brothers were amazed at the great change in appearance that time had wrought in each oth- er.
