Our value as a community build- is not determined so much by what one has in the community, as it is by what one does for the commun- ity. It is quite true that these may be community builders, but we of- ten overlook the men and women of small means who live in unpre- tentious homes, who have reared and educated a family of boys and girls in the town and have spent their income with the local mer- chants and the local institutions. He may not have a great deal to spend, but if his pay cheque is turned back into local business channels to pay other men and keep the wheels of business turn- ing, he is a real community build- er. - While he does not get the cred- it or the name as a community builder, he is worthy as such, and often in his loyalty to home insti- tutions is more helpful as a town builder than many of those of larger means. What is a community builder? Often when we use that term we think of the men and women in the town of means and resources who live in ï¬ne homes and who own and operate large business enter- prises, Whose name lends prestige to the town; we think of the men who serve on the Council and the other various public offices; we think of those who belong to the Chamber of Commerce and the various service organizations. Such a man is worth a. dozen others who, with much greater re- sources, send it out of the com- munity and away from home. Bradford; Mrs. C. Marsden, publisher of the Elora Ex- gress; Mrs. G. H. Many teen- agers who ï¬nd themselves growing very tall and slim, try to slump down in their walk and stance with the idea they are concealing those extra inches. An erect carriage looks much better and is very much healthier.
