Gardiner as CNR general passenger traffic manager when Mr. Gardiner retires on pension Dec. 23. John Pullen, vice-president in charge of traffic, also has an- nounced that General Passenger Agents Arthur P. Lait of New York and F. N. McKenzie of Winnipeg will come to headquarters as pas- senger traffic managers. Joseph N. Vincent of Montreal was named assistant passenger traffic manager here. Mr. Trudeau has had 45 years of passenger traffic experience. He is widely known as an historian and for charitable and social work, and is president of St. Lawrence Kiwanis Club. Passenger Traffic Mr. McKenzie was born at Mor- den, Man. in 1900 and began his railway career in the passenger department at Saskatoon in 1917. An enthusiastic curler. he has been associated many years with travel arrangements for Macdonald Briar bonspiels. Mr. Lait was born at Winnipeg in 1897. and joined the operating cic- partment of the railways in 1912. He transferred to the passenger branch in 1915. He served in the First Great War and was awarded the Military Medal. In the Second World War he was in Charge of the company’s office in Washington.
