O.H.A. Senior Hockey News Stoufi‘ville Clippers lost two and tied one in three games last week as they bowed to Newmarket and Orillia. in league fixtures, and drew with Oshawa in an exhibition con- test. At Newmarket last Thursday be- fore the largest crowd of the sea- son the Clippers came out on the short end of a 6-2 score, Laurie Thoms and Swifty Todd led Newmarket with two goals each, while Jack Rumney and Ron Bell scored for Stouffville. Ab. Bowen and Stan Long pac- ed Orillia. with two goals each, while Don Bowen, Kelly and Rich- ardson each tallied once. Orillia came through with their first home win of the year Satur- day night by edging Stoufl’ville 7-6 in overtime. Stoufl’ville goals were evenly di- vided with single tallies going to Baker, Gibson, Rumney Bob Ban- gay, Bud Watson and Ron Bell. Stouffville and Oshawa played to a, five all overtime tie at Port Perry on Monday night, Stoufi‘ville scorers were Bud Watson with two, Nick Bangay, Jack Rumney and Polly Minton one each. The Clippers travel to Colling- wood this Saturday, and then next Tuesday, January 29, they play host to the Midland Flyers. Maplewood Farms Impon Guernseys Richmond Hill Hockey Club, now in its fifth year of operatiOn, started with thirty-six boys in the club, the number increasing stead- ily until this year one hundred and twenty-five boys are taking part in league games.
