A good crowd attended. Mr. R. Taylor of Markham held the lucky ticket for the boat, while Mr. W. Botham won the gold watch. There were many other attractions such as bingo. The W. B. Bates orchestra was in attendance for the dancing. The weather also proved ideal. 0| # i t The Unionville Fire Brigade was called out about 10.30 p.m. on Wednesday night to a car which caught fire in front of the farm of H. Crosby on No. 7 Highway. Webbing Disney-McMullen A very pretty wedding took place on June 7, in Central United Church, which was beautifully de- corated with pink and white spring flowers, when Mary Eleanor, dau- ghter of Mr. Leonard McMullen of Station St., Unionville, was united in marriage to Lawrence Disney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Dis- ney of Pickering. The bride who was given in marriage by her fa- ther, wore white tulle over satin with lace, torso style.
