August 9, in Newmarket Hospital. Late Robert Myers One of the very old respected ,citizens of Unionville, Mr. Robert Myers, passed away at the Clare- mont rest home on Monday, August 4. He was 92 years of age and since coming to Canada from Eng- ‘land with his bride in 1886, has re- sided in the Unionville district, and has spent the last number of years on Station St. where he and the late Mrs. Myers who passed away on August 4th, 1945, had cel- ebrated their 60th wedding anniv- ersay on Christmas day 1940. For many years Mr. Myers car- ried the mail from the CNR sta- tion to the Post Office. His wife was the former Maria Workhup. He was the father oi Mrs. Fred Williamson (Hannah) of Markham, George of California, Tom at Un- ionville, Jack and Ben of Toronto. The funeral was held on Wednes- day afternoon from the Dixon fun- eral'home, Markham. The service was held in St. Philip’s Church, Unionville and interment in St. Philip's Anglican Cemetery. The pall bearers were Milton Findlay, Wilbur Latimer, Harry Maynard, Fred Pickering and his two grand- sons, the Williamson boys of Mark- ham. late A. Fuller Mr. Arthur Fuller, age 76 years, passed away at Stouffville Nursing Home on Friday, August 8. Mr. Fuller had lived in the Unionville district about a mile north of the village for many years. He was a member of Central United Church and will be missed by his many friends here. The funeral service was held from Wright and Taylor funral home, Richmond Hill on Monday, August 11. to Thornhill United Cemetery. Spencley was ordained in Knox United Church, Saskatoon, June 1944. The Rev. Spencley drove back west on Thursday and his parents hope that next time he comes east he will bring his wife and two children, Elaine and Jimmy. The Rev. Spencley’s ï¬rst charge was at Luck Lake.
