On Friday night last there was a collision on the 7th concession of Markham, when a light truck driv- en by Warren Bidwell of Milliken, crashed into a motorcycle. Thos. Knox. 21 and Jim Borland 28, both of Agincourt were rushed by am- bulance to the East General Hos- pital, Toronto, with undetermined injuries. It is with regret that the resi- dents of Unionville learn of the death of Rev. A. E. Owen°of Port Credit who was thelpastor of Un- ionville United Church for about ten years. Mr. and Mrs. Galbraith and Miss Myrtle Galbraith of Port Colborne have been spending a few days with their sister, Mrs. A. E. Mil- ner, Mrs. Crozier and Mr. R. Hood of Port Perry also visited with them on Monday. M1: and Mrs. Stanley Underhill and daughters Diane and Jane re- turned home after having spent a very enjoyable week motoring through the Southern States. Mrs. M. H. Thompson's sister, whose home is in Mexico is spend- ding two weeksrwith her. Mr. Guy Galbraith of Toronto who is an inspector in the North American Insurance Co., visited on Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Milner. Mr. Ross Heimler is spending a week at Sauble Beach, Georgian Bay. A number of the relatives and friends from Unionville attended the Blake and Pearce reunion at Cathania Park, Sarnia. All report a very enjoyable time. Mr. H. H. The president Mrs. Milner pre- sided at this meeting and owing to the absence of the regular secret- ary, Mrs. M. Thompson, Mrs. W. Snowball acted as secretary. The members spoke with deep regret of the passing of Rev. A. E. Owen of. Port Credit who was a former pastor here for many years.Regret was also expressed that our es- teemed Dr. MacKay is not enjoying good health. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wellman entertained Rev. and Mrs. Austin Huston one evening last week. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Deverell left on Monday with Mr. Deverell's brother and wife for an extended visit to Cape Cod. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Smith have returned from a stay at Gull Lake, in the Haliburton Highlands, at the cottage of Mrs. Smith's niece, Dr. Ellen Blachford.
