Correspondent: Mrs. F. H. Leaf R. R. 2 Gormley Phone Agincourt 33512 Harmony Class Bazaar When the afternoon crowds had cleared away there were still some goods left, so after a hasty meal, the bazaar attendants read- ied their tables for an auction sale. Mr. Pat Hord and Mr. Joe Easton made fine auctioneers and after a hilarious hour the last bundle of gourds had fallen to their hammers. A total of $600 was realized from this effort, so it was well worthwhile. ' Mr. and Mrs. David Millen and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Giles visited over the weekend with Mrs. Giles' sister. Mrs. Arthur Warwick in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Lauder Hamilton were overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Francey, and also visited other Buttonville friends this past week-end, There were many beautiful ar- ticles attractively displayed and reasonably priced and by 2.30 p. m. a c owd of interested buyers throngs the hall. Mrs. A. C. Huston gave a grac- ious opening address. The Buttonville Women’s Insti- tute is to be congratulated on the beautiful colour scheme chosen for redecorating the hall. The pale green walls and slightly deep- er tone woodwork are bofh rest- ful and pleasing. PITTSBURGH CHICAGO WASHINGTON . . .
