During the evening the presentation of a sil- ver cup was made by H. A. Phelps, chairman of the King Legion Pop- py Fund. This cup becomes the permanent possession of the child- ren of Kinghorn School for selling the most poppies per pupil on Re- membrance Day, for 3 consecutive years. In 1952 the children rais~ ed $59.61 through the sale of pop- pies, and since 1950 have sold $140.11 worth of poppies. Since 1950 each child has averaged $3.72 each year. On behalf of the school, Kay Campbell, a pupil who has worked on the poppy sale for 3 years, accepted the cup. Mr. Phelps announced that next year he will offer a shield in memory of his father.
