Pitts, Carrville Ed. on Thursday afternoon. Miss Mary Read was in charge of the bazaar in which there were for sale lovely aprons, pillow slips and bath towels with crocheted lace, homeâ€"knit socks, and many other things. Mrs. Pitts. Mrs. E. Bone, Miss E. Sheppard Estimates gladly given free Refreshments were served by the ladies and a nice time was had by all. In the fall it is hoped the fellowship group will begin its meetings again. W.A. Daffodil Tea A social evening was held in the new hall at Carrville when about 30 gathered together. Two films were shown through the courtesy of the Department of Lands and Forests and two comic films as well. Mrs. E. Perring had a guessing contest. Mrs. L. Morris received a flashlight as a prize for the high- est number of points. The group was very pleased to have as guests, the senior teacher, H. Gilbert and Mrs. Gilbert. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Wynn and Mrs. Wood. Mrs. Morris was presented with ’2 corsage by Mrs. Nicholls on 5e- half of the Association and Mrs. Middleton presented her with a past presidents pin. Mrs. R. They stress- ed that Home and School members should make ‘a special effort to at- tend council meetings. It was then announced that June 11 will be observed as open night at the school. After a count of at- tendance was taken, the picture remains in the senior room. Mrs. R. Middleton gave a report on‘ the annual meeting of the Home and School Associations of York-Sim- coe Council held at Cherry Hill Farm on May 7. Following the singing of "God Save the Queen". last year's min- utes were read and the secretary gave her report in which was in- cluded a summary of all the meet- ings for the past year. The treas- urer C. Chevis gave his report and a balance on hand of $16.63 was indicated. The annual meeting [of the Carr- vilIe Home and School Was held on Thursday evening, May 14. at 8 pm. in the school with 18 par- ents and friends present. Mrs. Morris, the president. was in charge of the meeting and the in- stallation of officers. Congratulations are in order for our minister, Rev. Dr. E. E.
