Holmes recited an appropriate poem. The meeting closed with the Mizpah benediction after which the children playéd games out- doors. Cookies and candies were served as a treat. The next meet- ing will be held June 6 rather than May 30. Church Progressive Conservative Candidate York Scarboro Riding Twenty-four children attended the Mission Band held in Temper- anceville Church on Saturday. May 23. Due to the fact that the Horticulture Society held its tulip show on the same date. Mrs. McClure was unable to attend. However the new officers were willing and anxious to accept the responsibility and a very delight- ful meeting was held, Miss Clara Herrema acted as president with Miss Donna Jennings as secretary. Miss Roberta Wilson took her place as pianist. The scripture was read by Ann Fox. Mrs. S. Paxton entertained the children with a short story after which Miss Patsy Macklin played a piano solo.
