Vacation School Successful Last week an enthusiastic group of children and leaders met at the Headford Church to hold one of the best vacation schools it would be possible to ï¬nd. As many as 75 children appeared of a morn- ing in an area where most of the homes are a quarter of a mile ap- art. Interested people gathered the children up by the carload, de- livered them at 9 arm. and picked them up again at 11.30 a.m. From this charge some of the drivers were Mrs. Marson, Mrs. Hord, Mrs. Jim Hood. Mary Rodick, Mr. and Mrs. N .Reid. Mr. John Black, Dorothy Hood, Mr. Craig and Mrs. Stephenson. At the school, children had a worship service, sing song, Bible study, recreation period and hand- crafts. Boys and girls from ages 9 to 12 made very interesting ar- ticle's. Mrs. Ackerman instructed the girls in the making‘of felt bags and Mr. Briggs, a well qualified in- structor, formerly with the Univ- ersity of Toronto, S.P.S., helped the boys make very attractive ar- ticles from old‘ crates and tin cans.
