The Scripture Read- ing and Lesson Thoughts and Prayer were read by the members. Mrs. Nelson Boynton and Mrs. Har- ry McIntosh sang a duet. Miss ‘Steckley, who had served for over 30 years as a missionary in India was guest speaker and proved very interesting. Following the meet- ing a social half hour was held. Mission Band The regular monthly meeting of the Mission Band will be held on The Married Couples Club held a very enjoyable corn roast on Tuesday evening of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Orr. The evening was spent in playing games, and a sing song. Following this, there was served plenty of corn, hot dogs and marshmallows. His helper, who was putting out flares, was unhurt. P.C. Bill Shearn, of Markham, Twp. Police, said after the‘west- bound truck stalled, one flare was set out and a second was being taken out when the truck was struck on the left corner, driving it 50 feet down the road before it jumped through the rails. Palmer died of head and intern- al injuries minutes after arrival at Toronto General hospital. In fair condition with undetermined injuries was the driver, Ron Breen, 16, and Paul Barber, 17. Bob Hill, fourth occupant in the car, was shaken up. The youths are all fro_1n Georgetown. The truck was driven through guard rails and over a 50-foot embankment, police said. The top of the car was peeled back and the engine jammed into the front seat. The death car had a metal plate on the back with' “Don‘t Speed†inscribed under a skull and cross- bones. Thomas Palmer, 17, of Georgeâ€" town was killed and three other youths were injured at midnight last Friday, when their car crashed into the rear of a stalled truck half a mile east of Unionville.
