Mrs. Freeman Barker, who is missionary convenor, show- ed a reel of the Good Samaritan on her viewmaster projector af- ter Sharon Rumble had read from the Bible. Sharon, who is only 7 read the story admirably. Next followed a story read by Liz Coulter, illustrating the world wide scope of missionary enter- prise. Then the new ï¬lm-strip projector came into use for the ï¬rst time, showing a ï¬lm to let us see what happens to our mis- sionary givings. The Sunday School Christmas concert is only a week away on December 11. White Gift Sun- day will be Sunday, Dec. 13. The nomination committee of the WA. met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Charlie Homer and drew up the slate of officers to be presented at the next meet- ing for lection. Hicks and family in their new home on Essex Ave. were Mr. and Mrs. W. Kirby who visited with them on Saturday evening. The Hicks family oc- cupied the store at the corner of No. '7 Highway and Yonge Street for the past 20 years. We hope they will be happy in their new surroundings and are pleased they did not leave the commun- ty. We are pleased to hear that Mrs. Sutterley, who resides with her daughter, Mrs. R. Stewardson. No. 7 Highway is recovering nicely from a recent illness, and that Mrs. R. Ablett, Yongeview Ave. is feeling much better.
