Albert Peelar favored the members of the Edgeley Women‘s Institute, and a member of their family at a most enjoyable organ recital at their home on July 2. when Mrs. Peelar chose this novel and pleasant way of raising her talent money for the Women‘s Institute talent fund. We are pleased to report Mr. C. M. Jernigan, Jefferson, is ‘mak- ing very favourable progress af- ter a major operation at St. Mi- chael’s Hospital last Saturday. Best wishes for a speedy re- turn to health to Mrs. E. Ray Jackson, Mariday Farms. Who is home again after 10 days in hospital. Orange Home News The children and staff of the L.T.B. and Orange Home were the guests of the McKinley Lodge of Toronto for the Orange Par- adg‘held last Saturday. The “Stitch and Sew” Club, a happy and helpful group of lady volunteers from Richmond Hill, who do so much for the children at the Orange Home, were an- tertained by Mrs. Hill, of the Newmarket L.O.L. last week.‘ The Rev. D. C. H. Michell left Monday for a three weeks’ vaca- tion at his father’s home in Van- couver. Mr. and Mrs. Peelar are very fortunate in the possession of a Hammond organ and in both be- ing quite musical. Bert, as Mr. Peelar is known to all. opened the program with two sacred numbers “Jesus Keep Me Near The Crosz; and “Have Thy Own Way, Lord,‘ with Miss Gould accompanying on the viol~ in. Then came the sentimental number “I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen” to be followed by “Smoke‘ Gets in Your Eyes." The guests were then taken back many years as he played the sen- timental numbers “When You and I Were Young Maggie” and brought back to the present by "The Word is Waiting for the Sunrise” and the “Indian Love Call.” He then closed his part of the program with “Perfect Day" again with Miss Gould and her violin assisting. Miss Gould rendered a very de- lightful medley of tunes and then Mrs. Peelar started the second half of the recital with “Bells of St. Mary" which is a favorite with all and particularly good on “Get Well Soon’ Sixty members of Simcoe County L. Finally the guests began to disperse, all with the united thought, “What an enjoyable ev- ening!” and all wished Bert and Eva continued success in hetir musical efforts and hoped they may again be favored with such a musical' treat in the near fu- ture.
