Bridge To Be Repaired We are pleased to hear that our bridge by the church is to be repaired very soon. ’ Fellowship Group The first meeting of the Fel- lowship Group was held Friday evening in the hall with about 30 people present to enjoy the most interesting films, Dr. E. Kent showed of his trip to the east coast and Northern States and also a picture of the Junior Choir at the church and also a picture of them at one of their skating parties. Church News Carrville United Church Ser- vice was held in the hall on Sun- day as the furnace has not been completed, the Sunday School met in one of the public school rooms. A sing song was then enjoyed and a social half hour spent. The group from A to K were social convenors and for the Decem- ber meeting the _L to Z group will be social convenors. Huston was guest speaker at Queensville United Church anniversary services last Sunday. congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wiggins who were married in Toronto on Friday of last week. Among the guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. James McQuay. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Robinson en- tertained at a dinner party last Sunday, the occasion being Mr. Robinson’s mother’s birthday. Fourteen guests were present. Miss Dorothy Baker sang a solo. Mrs. Stratford was welcom- ed as a member. Names were exchanged in the Christmas draw. The nominating commit- tee consists of Mrs. Bone, Mrs. Read and Mrs. Oliver and they will have a slate ready for next meeting. . Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hord were involved in a motor accident reâ€" cently. They were turning into Young's Market on No. 7 High- way when they were in collision with a car driven by Mrs. Mar- ianne Grand of Markham. For- tunately no one was injured. al- though Mrs. Hord was thrown under the dashboard and was severely shaken. Woman's Association was held Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. R. Middleton.
