Mrs. Arthur Dawson Passes We note with regret the pass- ing of Mrs, Sarah Agnes White Dawson, widow of the late Ar- thur Dawson, on Friday. March 29, 1957, at the Wellesley Hos- Hospital, Toronto. Farewell Party Friends and neighbours gath- ered at the Leichcroft Farm hall on Tuesday evening of last week to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs Donald Robinson and their fam- ily, who moved early this week to a farm west of Sunderland. Parents’ Night Parents viewed some interest- ing work when they attended Parents’ Night at Buttonville school Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts each outlined work being done in various grades, and grade 7 girls demonstrated the use of the recorder, a wood-wind instrument something like a flute. They played three numbers un- der the direction of Miss Allen. Members from six surrounding churches attended the Easter Thankoï¬eirng service at Brown’s Corners United Church last Wed- nesday aftfernoon. The speaker was Miss Summerville, a W.M.S. worker in Trinidad and graduate of Cornell University. She gave an outline of the historical back- ground of Trinidad. Mrs. Wm. Rodick occupied the chair, and MrS. S. J. English was pianist. Music was provided by a group of W.M.S. members, Mrs. A. Ste- phenson. Mrs. Wm. Rodick, Mrs. A. W. Miller, Mrs. E. Walton, Mrs. H. Paterson and Mrs. F. Leaf, who sang “In Joseph’s Lov- ely Garden.†Dr. Margaret Arkinstall, presi- dent of the New YorkPresb tery bought greetings from that ody, and Mrs. Alick Gardner recited an appropriate reading.
