Vacation School A meeting was held in Headlord United Church for all vacation school workers on the Victoria Square charge last Monday ev- ening. It was decided to hold the vacation school in the Headford church and school from July 14- 18. Sr. Women’s Institute Cut to Cooking. Bridal Shower Bowling On Wednesday evening about 50 neighbours and friends gath- ered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reid Brumwell to hold a miscell- aneous shower in honour of Miss Margaret Wigmore and Mr. Gor- don Brumwell who are being married on Saturday. May 17. Many gifts were received by the happy couple. Margaret and Gor- don thanked everyone for the kindnesses shown them. Refresh- ments were served. On Friday evening Miss Mary Muirhead entertained in the Vic- toria Square community hall for Miss Marilyn Bolland and Mr. Walter Muirhead, when she held a miscellaneous shower in their honour. The bride-toâ€"be and the groom-toâ€"be are being married on May 31. Mothers’ Day Service There were 102 present at Sun- day School on Sunday when the Mothers’ Day service was held. The scripture lesson was taken by the boys‘ intermediate class. Wayne and Bruce Mortson sang a duet. Sharon Boynton repeated the 23rd Psalm. Margaret Smith read the story.
